Bringing Your Baby Home
At COPA, we understand the challenges parents face when bringing home a newborn for the first time or adding a new baby to a home with siblings. We care for more babies than any other practice in Central Oregon and have deep experience helping new moms and dads with basic care and feeding, proper health care and general advice for daily concerns.
The first year of a child's life is critical to ensure a happy and healthy childhood. COPA provides you with a team of board certified pediatricians who offer you confidence in knowing your child is thriving and developing on track. And, our Nurse Advice Line is always open, day or night, for any concern you may have.
COPA is the only medical provider in the region with pediatric specialists in the office 7 days a week, with extended hours for your convenience and comfort. We're here, 24/7, when you need us the most.

A newborn baby should see a pediatrician when the baby is two weeks old. Call COPA to schedule your appointment as soon as your baby is born. You can also make your appointment while you are in the hospital with the COPA Patient Advocate who will schedule new babies from right in you hospital room; our Patient Advocate visits the Bend Family Birthing Center Daily to help make this as easy as possible for new moms.
Newborn screening forms are given to moms in the hospital and need to accompany the baby to their first pediatric visit.
Expecting a Boy?
Many families have questions about circumcision. Whether you know it's a boy or are waiting until the big day to find out, one of our 14 board certified pediatricians can take good care of your little guy.
We're happy to answer all your questions, share our thoughts, provide expertise and counseling regarding this important decision.
